The NPPL is a restricted licence that allows you only to fly within UK airspace. You cannot add on a night rating or IMC. The main advantage is that only 32 hours are required to completion, and thust, whilst a tall order to complete in this time, the licence is cheaper. Medical requirements are less stringent, requiring only a DVLL HGV Certificate from your local doctor. Ground exams are the same as for a JAR PPL.
