Gaining your JAR PPL requires a minimum of 45 hours flight tuition, which can include the practical examination, six multiple choice and one oral examination.
This is coupled with the successful completion of a skills test conducted by an independent examiner (45 hours is based on the capacity of the above average student).
You will also require a Class II JAR medical before you go solo.
As part of your 45 hours you will do 10 hours solo, of which 5 are cross-countryincluding a qualifying cross-country to two separate airfields 60 nautical miles apart.
