The IMC is a useful addition to your PPL. We are all likely to misjudge the weather at some point and the IMC will allow you the confidence to make safe approaches in poor conditions. The IMC is not a full instrument rating, and is not designed to allow you to fly IFR—but it does afford you many of the same priviledges within UK airspace. What is certain is that it will make you a better, safer pilot.
