For Pilots and Enthusiasts

Where better to spend your flying time than at Bourne2fly? Bourne2fly is the flying club associated with Solent School of Flying and Bournemouth Helicopters. Bournemouth Handling, the general aviation handling agents for the airport is also located here along with many private aircraft owners, making Bourne2fly a great mix of pilots and enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Crew Lounge

We pride ourselves on our friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the focal point for Bourne2 Fly is the crew lounge – the perfect place to relax after a flight or to meet up with others. With comfy sofas, a coffee machine, snacks and wireless internet access it’s a great place for a coffee and sandwich.

Flight Planning

For the flyer, we have a self briefing area with access to weather and flight planning information, a computer link to the control tower and also flight planning areas. Our operations staff are there to help with flight plans, customs forms, ATC liaison and general flight planning guidance. Another big benefit is the fuel bowser located on our apron. Having immediate access to refueling is a facility that is unique to us at Bournemouth Airport – no more waiting!

Regular Trips and Events

Annual events include our legendary summer barbecue and Christmas parties, always well attended by people from all areas of the airport. Recent club trips have included the Met Office in Exeter and National Air Traffic Services at Swanwick – more are in the pipeline this year!

Self Fly Hire

If you are a member of Bourne2fly and have a valid licence and ratings you can take advantage of our fleet of aircraft for hire. So if you’re a commercial pilot hours builder or flying for pleasure, click on the Self fly hire tab above.

So wether you’re a qualified pilot, one in the making or a non flying member everyone is welcome at Bourne2Fly. If you are an airport-based aircraft owner, you are welcome to join our club.
